Summer 2009 Update

Keith Lambert was selected as one of twenty international artists to exhibit his works and demonstrate his techniques at the Gangjin Celedon Festival in 2009.

Willie Baucom and Keith Lambert installed the latest in the the series of Fish Walk sculptures ("The Spots") commissioned by Morehead City for their waterfront.

Lambert and Baucom have also won the commission for the Boone, N.C. Appalcart Project. The artists will be creating a clay wall mural as well a providing artistic upgrades to several of the stops in the area served by Appalcart buses.

Oct 31, 2008: Woo-Woo Harker Memorial Unveiled (Fishermen's Memorial)

The James Benjamin "Woo-Woo" Harker, IV memorial executed by Keith and Willie opened on the Morehead City Waterfront. The memorial serves as a remembrance of Woo-Woo Harker and honors "everyone who works where the sea meets sky. Special honor is tendered to those ashore who support them and waith for their safe return." Keith and Willie would like to thank the many donors that made this commission possible as well as the Morehead City Public Works Department for helping make this memorial to Woo-Woo and all Carolina fishermen possible.

Sept 8-16, 2007: 12th Gangjin Celadon Festival

Willie and Keith were invited to participate in the International Ceramic Artist Workshop in Korea this fall. The workshop brought together 37 ceramics artists from around the globe to work along side one another in this week-long event.

Morehead City Fish Walk Sculpture Featured in Local News (Sept. 2007)

The Daily News ran a feature article on the Menhaden sculpture as it reflects upon the history and culture of the North Carolina coast. The sculpture's August dedication celebrated the installation of the latest sculpture in the Morehead City Fish Walk series commissioned from Shipyard Earthworks. The sculpture series now comprises 12 installations designed to celebrate the region's maritime bounty while also educating the public about the role of the sea in the history and economy of Coastal Carolina.
